Review of the 33rd Annual Symposium
April 5 - 9, 2008 - Palm Beach, Florida

Thanks go out to all our attendees. As we hoped, the symposium represented an opportunity for AJHSA members to spend time networking, sharing ideas, learning and educating each other so that they could return home enthusiastic and motivated -- to really make a difference to their organizations and the cherished elders they serve now and in the future. As we heard, “The Future Is Now” and it’s our time to bring to our work new ideas and a renewed spirit.

The perfect weather aside, wonderful keynote speakers - Dr. Barbara Udell and Alan Sadowsky and presenters - Terrie Temkin and Syrelle Bernstein were each outstanding. Thanks to MorseLife, we were able to secure some of the top presenters in their field to help prepare us for what is to come in the near future and what better way to end than with the words of Dr. Barrie Greiff. The excitement and enthusiasm from all our attendees made planning this year’s symposium worth all the hard work and dedication of the all those at MorseLife.

MorseLife hosted a wonderful afternoon on its beautiful West Palm Beach campus, which included a tour of its spectacular facilities, an introduction to its outstanding staff and volunteers and a delicious luncheon. Finally, who could forget the hospitality and the beautiful home of Esther & Sid Dinerstein – what truly gracious and caring hosts for us – unforgettable! Of course, we hope everyone got the opportunity for world-class Worth Avenue shopping, dining out and tours of the beautiful Intracoastal Waterway.

Now is the time to continue to raise the bar and move ahead with the planning for next year in Cincinnati. Looking forward to seeing you all there!
