The Keeping Quilt is a work of love that came out of an Associates of Jewish
Homes and Services for the Aging Symposium. The Associates of Jewish Homes and
Services for the Aging is made up of over 50 Jewish Homes from throughout the
United States and Canada. The commonality of all of our Homes is unique and it
seemed to be the way to "tie a thread" among all of our facilities.
The Quilt is a representation of the bond between community and our elderly
loved ones and the unity of our network and services. Each participating Home
in the Association was asked to prepare a square done either by a volunteer or
a Resident. As you can see, there is a wide variety of styles which makes the
Quilt that much more distinctive.
We hope you appreciate and enjoy viewing this Quilt as much as each of our
Homes has enjoyed "piecing" our Homes together as one.
